your memory is on its way and may take up to 3 days to appear. until then, take a moment to explore others' memories.
Ways of Remembering… Hong Kong is a collaborative map where anyone can anonymously share personal memories connected to Hong Kong. Each memory is pinned to a location, weaving together a collective archive of emotions and experiences. Whether your memory captures a moment from participating in a protest, everyday life in a local neighbourhood, or simply a personal reflection, every memory is valued and belongs.
The map will be displayed at Ways of Remembering, an exhibition exploring the intersection of memory, activism, and Hong Kong. Through this living archive, we invite visitors to walk through the memories of Hong Kong — not just headline-making events, but deeply personal moments as well. Every memory, no matter how small, helps shape how we remember Hong Kong.
To use the map:
- Select a location on the map
- Share your memory
- Wait for your memory to appear
- Read others’ memories while you wait
